Business Manager & Producer
A graduate of SUNY Potsdam and Syracuse University, Darren began his professional life as a writer and a television producer. After a brief (16 year) hiatus as a Mental Health Professional he’s back behind the camera.
Darren is a talented musician with a wealth of knowledge of music past and present. In fact he is a bit of a music obsessive, voracious reader, and lover of film who believes the greatest Marvel movie will be one of the late career highlights of Jean-Luc Godard. It will definitely not be an origin film.
At the end of 2020 he took a leave of absence from his position as a clinical social worker in order to stay home with his son as he attended virtual 1st grade. It was during this time that the new direction of MSC was born. Coming on board to oversee the day to day operations allowed the business to flourish and grow. In addition to his roles at Maple Seed Creative, Darren is an LCSW practicing therapy part-time as well as teaching Social Work at an Upstate New York University.
In addition to owning Maple Seed Creative, LLC
Darren and Cathy are currently busy raising their creative, brilliant & funny son, Owen as well as their yellow lab, Biscuit. And like everyone else, trying to keep it all together during a pandemic.
