Meet The Team

Cathy Tripiciano

Owner & Creative Director

Cathy began her career in media as a television producer. In 2008 as social media sites were beginning to get attention as a way to connect with an audience, she took notice. She parlayed her broadcasting and video production experience into the (at the time new) world of digital communications. Cathy sees social media and online presence not only as public relations but also a story telling device.

Cathy brings her skills as a producer to not only video production but all aspects of MSC. As a social media producer she is able to create engaging content that also tells the story using the voice of her clients. Researching not only “hashtag holidays” but why topics are relevant to the client. This creates a direction that better tells a story and engages the audience. As a former television producer, she understands what makes a good on-air segment. She is able to coach clients for media appearances in her public relations roles as well as provide information in her pitches and pre-interviews with producers and media representatives. Ensuring a good interview fit, a pitch that is enticing to a producer, and ensure that the client is comfortable is her main priority.

Goldman Encouragement Award. The award is given to a female business owner who has shown noteworthy entrepreneurial pursuit and inspires other women to pursue their dreams. She currently sits on the board of the Matilda Joslyn Gage Foundation. In 2022 Cathy won both a silver and bronze Telly Award for her work on the online/social component of an educational video series. This is the first submission and win for her work in digital media & online strategy. Previous Telly Award wins were for video production as a Producer/Director.

Darren Tripiciano

Business Manager & Producer

In addition to his roles at Maple Seed Creative he is also a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in New York State. A graduate of SUNY Potsdam and Syracuse University, Darren began his professional life as a writer and a television producer. After a brief (16 year) hiatus as a Mental Health Professional he’s back behind the camera.

Darren is a talented musician with a wealth of knowledge of music past and present. In fact he is a bit of a music obsessive, voracious reader, and lover of film who believes the greatest Marvel movie will be one of the late career highlights of Jean-Luc Godard. It will definitely not be an origin film. He brings this knowledge to his work with clients in the music industry as well as composing original music for your video production.

At the end of 2020 he took a leave of absence from his positions as a clinical social worker in order to stay home with his son as he attended virtual 1st grade. It was during this time that the new direction of MSC was born. Coming on board to oversee the day to day operations allowed the business to flourish and grow.
